Finally, a place where I can buy hummous that doesn't taste like a container of mashed up cereal boxes! (Seriously, WTF is going on with the hummous round here?) More runny than I'd usually like but I'm willing to take it as the best available downtown.
And also - thankfully a nice range of turkish/persian food, I managed to buy the rose jam and fig jam I usually pick up at home, as well as some saurkraut/white asparagus/some other eastern european sundries for the husband. Got my hands on some awesome stollen around xmas time too.
Where would I be without you, European shop. You make eating in Vancouver almost bearable. -

A super selection of imported spices, condiments, sauces, olives and flavors from Europe and elsewhere. They also make their own specialty items like lasagna and cabbage rolls. So much to choose from but you can really spice up your cooking with purchases from this little shop on Davie St. I especially liked the little red peppers stuffed with cheese, in oil, in a jar. Friendly family run business.

I go here quite often as this place has a good selection & service is usually good. However went in yesterday Sunday February 10 2019
And the staff member was extremely slow me & the lady that came in after me waited for ages and still no service as he staff member was gossiping with a person.
I waited a total,of 15 minutes and no service the lady that came in after me waited about 10 minutes before we both left
Due to no service. As I do appreciate customer service gossiping for ages with one customer while two waiting customers get ignored while you gossip with one is unacceptable
Get more staff or serve all the customers in the store
Two customers walking out due to zero service is not good business -

Can't believe I've never reviewed this place. Good selection of deli meats, cheeses, olives, etc. at very reasonable prices. Excellent prepared foods. Great selection of Persian, Middle Eastern, and Eastern European ingredients and condiments, and a reasonable quantity of Mexican products. They carry a number of oddball things like frozen exotic meats and obscure Mexican candies. You can pick up a tub of good feta, sremska (sausage), zaatar, ground kangaroo meat, sour cherry jam, Pulparindos, Persian bread, and cheap mortadella all at the same time. Browsing the aisle (singular; it's a small store) is always interesting.
Great service. Everyone who works here is awesome. One of my favourite places to shop, by far. -

The offer a lot of choices and they have the bread and cheese that we like. The shop is small but has the things you need. The people are friendly and nice to customers as well. I am able to buy so many things and so much food here that I don't find anywhere else. Location is nice and accessible. Ive them a visit.
